About Dolly Mixture Clothing
Having attended hot rod and vintage bike shows since childhood and developed a real love of vintage and kitsch fashion centred around the rockabilly scene, it was inevitable that someday the 1950s would feature highly in our career!
Dolly Mixture Clothing was born on the back of our mean crafting skills, honed and perfected in the making of quirky jewellery items we would wear to events. Distinctive creations unlike anything available on the high street drew a constant flow of compliments, and a lot of requests from friends and family! People at hot rod events would ask where they too could get their hands on the pendants and rings. Selling these creations at such shows was a natural next step.
After time spent working stalls at St Peter’s Street Market in Ipswich, the Suffolk Show and NASC Hot Rod Nationals to find out what sort of fashion, jewellery and accessories people were into in the East Anglia region, Dolly Mixture Clothing got properly off the ground in 2010.
Using our encyclopaedic knowledge of 50s style and the ever-growing rockabilly scene, Dolly Mixture sources stock for a discerning clientele. The rules are simple: Only to buy in what we would wear ourselves, and to offer exciting, high-quality products at a reasonable price. Our range has grown to include bags, shoes and a whole host of fun outfits - there are slinky fitted dresses for the sirens, plus floaty full-circle skirts and cute little cardigans for the girly-girls.
Although Dolly Mixture Clothing has concentrated so far on stocking only clothes made here in Blighty by the likes of Collectif, we’re hoping to reach hands across the pond to the good old US of A to sell lines by pin-up Bernie Dexter. Visit us again soon for news of her fabulous clothes to come!
Giving great customer service is what we’re about here at Dolly Mixture Clothing - we welcome all your feedback and comments. We hope you enjoy your experience of shopping with us as much as we like providing it!
Best Wishes
